Rhoda Ikono, a Reader at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria, is a distinguished IT professional, educator, Data Analyst, and Business Intelligent Analyst.
She holds a BSc (1997), MSc (2004), and Ph.D. (2013) in Computer Science. She is a registered member of the Computer Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Computer Society, among others. She has been a pivotal figure in advancing the IT profession in Nigeria.
Her research interests include the application of computing to address and solve health-related problems. This is tailored towards Information Systems, Health Informatics, biomedical informatics, Human Robot Interaction, Requirement Engineering, and Software Product Usability.
Within the field of Information Systems, her research works have contributed to the development of information systems in healthcare practices. Her research in the field of Usability Engineering has provided the evaluation framework for software product usability, which is a major contribution to software development lifecycle requirement analysis.
Sequel to this, her research has dovetailed towards software techniques, tools, management, architecture, and evaluation and has expanded the frontier of knowledge, which has led to the development of a novel technique in software product usability.
She has published widely in both national and international journals and conferences in the field of Computer Science. She teaches a variety of courses, Introduction to Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, and Systems Analysis and Design Methodology, among others.
She is involved in several collaborative research projects; these collaborations reflect her commitment to interdisciplinary research and her efforts to address critical issues in healthcare and technology.
She has successively mentored over 15 graduate students (both Master's and Doctoral students). She is married and blessed with Children.
